Base Salary
$125k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop modular, reusable test and automation software in Python and similar languages for development and qualification testing
- Write automation software that interacts with hardware, test equipment, instrumentation, and production systems
- Create tools supporting software deployment, test execution, data analysis, continuous integration, and release workflows
- Develop custom automation solutions using embedded electronics and innovative hardware
- Design user interfaces that simplify operation and troubleshooting of complex machines and processes
- Support testing of satellite payloads, propulsion systems, mechanisms, and production flight hardware
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or another STEM discipline, or 2+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree
- Development experience in Python and/or C or C++
- Experience with application, test, or automation software in an interdisciplinary environment is preferred
- Experience with configuration management and version control software is preferred
- Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition system design, or electronics test engineering is preferred
- Experience interfacing with electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, DAQs, power supplies, electronic loads, spectrum analyzers, or source measure units is preferred
- Experience troubleshooting software and hardware interactions involving network devices and laboratory instrumentation is preferred
- Extensive knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, computer architecture, and networks is preferred
- Experience designing and building electronics test racks, configuring data acquisition systems, taking field measurements, or building electronics and test systems is preferred
- Knowledge of digital and analog interfaces including USB, VISA, TCP/IP, CAN bus, SPI, I2C, Modbus, and analog-to-digital conversion is preferred
- Experience with spacecraft, automotive, or other industrial hardware is preferred
- Knowledge of networks, electronics, RF communications, optics, math, and physics is preferred
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills
- Willingness to work weekends and extended hours as needed
- Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations

- Base salary range of $125,000-$175,000 per year, plus potential stock, stock options, long-term cash awards, discretionary bonuses, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan eligibility
