Base Salary
$109k - $164k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to foundational modem and compute architecture initiatives influencing future Qualcomm products.
- Develop innovations in memory architecture, performance optimization, cache compression/decompression, power/performance/area efficiency, reliability, security, and scalability.
- Define and evaluate SoC-level latency, throughput, and bandwidth requirements and assess architectural trade-offs.
- Participate in pre-silicon performance evaluation, architectural exploration, and performance sign-off.
- Analyze modem workloads and implement solutions involving software optimization, task design, software/hardware partitioning, cache utilization, and memory behavior.
- Apply data-driven analysis and traditional machine learning techniques to large performance datasets.
- Develop and maintain tools for silicon profiling, performance validation, and debugging.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong computer architecture fundamentals covering processors, memory systems, embedded real-time systems, operating systems, and low-level programming.
- Experience delivering measurable code-performance improvements through architectural redesign, compiler optimization, hardware acceleration, or multithreading.
- Experience with embedded software development using C/C++ or assembly language, RTOS schedulers, and kernel modules.
- Strong programming skills in C or C++ and Python.
- Preferred: master’s degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field.
- Preferred: up to five years of cumulative relevant work experience and experience analyzing or optimizing embedded-system performance.
- Preferred: Python tooling, data analysis, ML frameworks such as PyTorch, automation, JTAG debugging, compiler technology, low-level performance tuning, SoC architecture, wireless technologies, traditional machine learning, or generative AI.
- Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
