Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria and participate in refinement sessions to identify ambiguities and risks.
- Create test plans, scenarios, and test data and execute functional, exploratory, regression, integration, and end-to-end validations.
- Develop and maintain automated interface, API, integration, and regression tests.
- Evaluate AI agents and RAG/GraphRAG applications and help create tests that reduce regressions involving prompts, models, and data.
- Validate interfaces, error messages, accessibility, usability, and performance, including limited or intermittent connectivity scenarios.
- Record defects with clear evidence, analyze failure patterns, and communicate quality risks to the team.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, UX, and domain specialists to continuously improve quality processes.
Requirements
- At least five years since completing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Professional experience with software quality, web application testing, and REST API testing.
- Knowledge of functional, exploratory, regression, and integration testing techniques, including test-plan and test-scenario creation.
- Knowledge of test-automation tools and programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#.
- Experience testing relational databases and basic knowledge of SQL.
- Knowledge of defect-management tools, Git version control, and continuous integration processes.
- Critical thinking skills for analyzing requirements, questioning behavior, and documenting clear, objective, reproducible defects.
- Preferred: experience validating generative AI applications, including hallucination, prompt-injection, and response-consistency risks.
- Preferred: knowledge of RAG, GraphRAG, embeddings, security testing, and digital accessibility using WCAG.
- Preferred: experience with performance and load testing, asynchronous or messaging architectures, and API contract testing.
- Preferred: experience in oil and gas, energy, or regulated industrial environments.
