Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design and delivery of platform capabilities for distributed serverless analytics compute.
- Build frameworks and abstractions for deployment, monitoring, security, and region expansion.
- Drive architecture decisions for infrastructure-as-code, orchestration, and multi-region automation.
- Reduce operational toil through self-healing systems and improved observability.
- Mentor software development engineers and raise technical standards through design reviews.
- Operate built systems through on-call support, root cause analysis, and recurrence-prevention mechanisms.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with one or more software programming languages.
- At least 5 years of leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling.
- Experience mentoring, serving as a technical lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Preferred: at least 5 years covering the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
