Responsibilities
- Identify and develop scalable and performant software solutions.
- Shape product strategy and execution across disciplines.
- Develop code architecture and quality foundations.
- Mentor and coach engineers.
- Set and uphold engineering process standards for high-quality engineering.
- Architect, develop, and deploy large-scale distributed systems and shared platform services.
- Design AI infrastructure, platform capabilities, APIs, and operational practices for engineering teams.
- Evaluate tradeoffs across reliability, performance, security, cost, scalability, and developer experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of production-level engineering experience building highly scalable systems.
- 4+ years acting as a trusted technical decision-maker in a team setting.
- 4+ years working with SQL or other database query languages on large multi-table datasets.
- Experience architecting, developing, and deploying large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong familiarity with server-side technologies including Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++, or Go.
- Preferred experience with production platform infrastructure, distributed systems, developer platforms, or high-availability shared services.
- Preferred experience with LLM infrastructure, model gateways, foundation model APIs, or managed AI platforms.
- Preferred experience with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, containers, infrastructure as code, observability, platform APIs, identity and access controls, secrets management, security governance, cost management, and capacity management.
- Preferred experience operating systems that handle sensitive or regulated data.
