Responsibilities
- Apply engineering principles to solve complex software problems.
- Work with stakeholders to determine user requirements for features.
- Learn and apply new engineering methods and industry best practices.
- Design and build user interfaces, APIs, backend services, and end-to-end product experiences.
- Test, debug, and iterate on software features based on feedback.
- Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, performance, monitoring, and operations at scale.
- Complete software projects collaboratively and manage time effectively.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, with at least one semester or term remaining after the internship; alternatively, currently pursuing a master's degree in the same fields with at least one semester or term remaining.
- Preferred: 1 or more years of programming experience.
- Preferred: 6 or more months of experience delivering projects in teams.
- Preferred: 1 or more years of experience developing and applying data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: coursework, projects, or prior experience building end-to-end applications.
- Preferred: experience with TypeScript or JavaScript and modern web frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Preferred: experience building backend services using C#, Java, Node.js, Python, or similar technologies.
- Preferred: familiarity with testing frameworks, accessibility principles, and modern software engineering practices.
- Preferred: coursework, projects, or prior experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, or data science.
- Preferred: experience with Python and familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Preferred: understanding of machine learning concepts, model evaluation, retrieval systems, large language models, or prompt engineering.
