Responsibilities
- Build and evolve AI-powered applications end-to-end.
- Clarify user needs, shape user experiences, design and implement systems, and deliver features.
- Test, deploy, roll out, and iterate on production systems.
- Develop agentic and deep-research workflows and other LLM-powered capabilities.
- Work directly with internal users and incorporate feedback into products.
- Contribute to feature prioritization and roadmap discussions.
- Define and use measures of feature quality, usefulness, reliability, and adoption.
- Collaborate with researchers, portfolio managers, and technology teams.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering skills, preferably in Python, with the ability to build reliable and maintainable production systems.
- Experience taking features from ambiguous requests through technical design, delivery, rollout, and iteration.
- A product-minded approach with the ability to clarify user needs and make pragmatic scope and technical trade-offs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of modern AI systems and practical experience with LLM-powered applications, including retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, document search, and evaluation.
- Familiarity with vector search or vector databases, SQL, and messaging systems.
- Ability to measure feature quality, usefulness, reliability, and adoption.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills and comfort supporting internal users.
- Ability to work independently in a small team and take responsibility for outcomes.
- Finance experience is not required.
