Base Salary
$141k - $226k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded applications and network configurations for current and future connected-device products.
- Lead architecture decisions, technical design, and code reviews while setting a high technical bar.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded applications, supporting systems, libraries, and networking configurations.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and Engineering teams to create integrated customer solutions.
- Build software emphasizing quality, stability, low latency, and mission-critical reliability.
- Identify and integrate open source technologies to meet product requirements.
- Improve software engineering processes through planning, retrospectives, and stand-ups.
- Mentor junior software engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience in C/C++, Go, Python, and/or another systems programming language.
- Experience with embedded development.
- At least 5 years of experience writing unit, integration, and/or system-level tests.
- At least 2 years of mentoring junior team members and/or leading small teams.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, runtime analysis, object-oriented design, and code quality verification.
- Networking knowledge including TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and tunneling is a plus.
