Base Salary
$141k - $226k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded applications, networking configurations, supporting systems, and libraries
- Interface embedded device software with cloud and firmware services
- Lead architecture, design, and code reviews and set a high technical bar for the team
- Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and Engineering teams on integrated customer solutions
- Build software meeting high standards for quality, stability, and latency
- Identify and integrate open source technologies to meet product requirements
- Improve software engineering processes, including planning, retrospectives, and stand-ups
- Mentor junior software engineers
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience using C, C++, Go, Python, and/or another systems programming language
- Experience with embedded development
- At least 5 years of experience writing unit, integration, and/or system-level tests
- At least 2 years mentoring junior team members and/or leading small teams
- Understanding of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, runtime analysis, object-oriented design, and code quality verification
- Networking knowledge such as TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and tunneling is a plus
