Base Salary
$141k - $226k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded applications and network configurations for Axon's products.
- Lead architecture, design, and code reviews to set a high technical standard.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and Engineering teams to create integrated solutions.
- Build software that meets high standards of quality, stability, and latency.
- Identify and integrate the latest open source technologies to meet product requirements.
- Improve software engineering processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Mentor junior software engineers to enhance team capabilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience in C/C++, Go, Python, or another systems programming language.
- Experience with embedded development.
- 5+ years of experience writing unit, integration, and/or system-level tests.
- 2+ years of mentoring junior team members or leading small teams.
- Understanding of computer science fundamentals including data structures and algorithms.
- Networking knowledge such as TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, and DHCP is a plus.
