Responsibilities
- Build and optimize tooling for automated monitoring, diagnosis, and remediation of production incidents.
- Troubleshoot high-impact production issues and participate in an on-call rotation to ensure service continuity.
- Implement and maintain observability solutions for infrastructure and application health.
- Contribute to infrastructure lifecycle management, system evolution, and infrastructure readiness across environments.
- Apply reliability, resiliency, scalability, stability, and security best practices.
- Maintain technical documentation and collaborate with engineering teams through knowledge sharing and team rituals.
Requirements
- Experience with Go, Python, or Rust and strong scripting skills, including Bash and Python.
- Hands-on experience with Linux systems such as Ubuntu and Debian.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, load balancing, and IPv6 networking.
- Experience with cloud environments and infrastructure including bare metal, virtual machines, containers, and orchestrators.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic, or similar monitoring and logging tools.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Ansible, Salt, and AWX.
- Experience managing relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and GitLab.
- Strong English communication skills, a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, and the ability to collaborate, work independently, mentor, and share knowledge.
