Responsibilities
- Execute the strategic vision for the enterprise architecture practice under leadership guidance.
- Develop technical standards, reference architectures, design patterns, opinion papers, and architecture decision frameworks across platforms, operating systems, and applications.
- Develop and coordinate adoption of Salesforce and enterprise technical strategies covering system design, infrastructure integrations, application development, and runtime principles.
- Manage architecture reviews by creating validation checklists, reviewing artifacts, and providing domain guidance.
- Translate business requirements into well-architected Salesforce solutions and design end-to-end solutions for complex business problems.
- Lead technical delivery of Salesforce custom development, integrations, and data migration elements.
- Develop proofs of concept and recommend emerging technologies and implementation toolkits.
- Drive adoption of enterprise design patterns and standard solution-development processes.
- Produce target-state architectures, conduct assessments and gap analyses, and shape solution strategies and roadmaps.
- Partner with data, integration, solution, and domain architects to support data integrity, security, compliance, system communication, and enterprise alignment.
- Collaborate with business leaders to create business capability models aligned with technology needs.
- Foster continuous learning and improvement within the enterprise architecture community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience as a senior domain architect or senior enterprise architect.
- Prior experience as a Principal Salesforce Architect in a global organization working with Salesforce Connected Apps and Salesforce AppExchange applications.
- Proven experience designing and delivering complex B2B SaaS Salesforce solutions.
- Leadership of at least two large-scale Product-to-Cash implementations from design through go-live, with 5+ years defining Salesforce architecture across quoting, contracting, fulfillment, billing, revenue, customer success, and customer support.
- Experience planning and leading architecture delivery for large-scale business and systems transformation programs.
- A proven record leading large-scale Salesforce initiatives from concept to delivery.
- Deep knowledge of Salesforce architecture capabilities and its ecosystem, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Community Cloud, or the SuccessFactors ecosystem.
- Five years of hands-on enterprise architecture framework experience, such as TOGAF, C4, or ArchiMate.
- Previous experience focused on data architecture, application or solution architecture, integration, risk management, and technology standards.
- Strong understanding of security architecture principles and practices.
- Proven business capability modeling experience and ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including communication with nontechnical stakeholders.
- Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Salesforce Certified Application Architect, or Salesforce Certified System Architect are preferred.
- Familiarity with managed packages such as Gong, DocuSign CLM, Kantata, Gainsight, Showpad, Qualtrics, or similar enterprise applications is a plus.
- Knowledge of current generative AI model capabilities and experience using generative AI code assistants such as GitHub Copilot are assets.
