Responsibilities

  • Execute the strategic vision for the enterprise architecture practice under leadership guidance.
  • Develop technical standards, reference architectures, design patterns, opinion papers, and architecture decision frameworks for solutions spanning multiple platforms, operating systems, and applications.
  • Develop and coordinate adoption of Salesforce and enterprise technical strategies covering architecture, integrations, development, maintenance, infrastructure, and runtime principles.
  • Manage the architecture review process by creating validation checklists, reviewing architectural artifacts, and providing domain-specific guidance.
  • Translate business requirements into well-architected Salesforce solutions and design end-to-end solutions for complex business problems.
  • Apply architecture and engineering principles to deliver scalable, maintainable, secure, reliable, extensible, flexible, available, and manageable solutions.
  • Manage technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration for Salesforce implementations.
  • Research emerging technologies, develop proofs of concept, and recommend robust and cost-effective implementation technologies.
  • Drive adoption of design patterns and standard solution design and development processes across the enterprise.
  • Produce target-state solution architectures, conduct architectural assessments and gap analyses, and shape solution strategies and roadmaps.
  • Partner with data and integration architects to support data integrity, security, compliance, seamless system communication, and data flow.
  • Work with solution architects and business leaders to align individual solutions, business capability models, and technology capabilities with enterprise architecture.
  • Foster a learning community within the enterprise architecture discipline and support continuous improvement across business units.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required.
  • At least five years of experience as a senior domain architect or senior enterprise architect is required.
  • Prior experience as a Principal Salesforce Architect in a global organization using Salesforce Connected Apps and Salesforce AppExchange applications is required.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering complex B2B SaaS Salesforce solutions is required.
  • Experience leading at least two large-scale Product-to-Cash implementations from design through go-live and defining Salesforce architecture across quoting, contracting, fulfillment, billing, revenue, customer success, and customer support is required.
  • Experience planning and leading architecture delivery for large-scale business and systems transformation programs and leading Salesforce initiatives from concept to delivery is required.
  • Deep knowledge of the Salesforce architecture capabilities and ecosystem, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Community Cloud, or the SuccessFactors ecosystem, is required.
  • Five years of hands-on enterprise architecture framework experience, including TOGAF, C4, or ArchiMate, is required.
  • Experience with data architecture, application or solution architecture, integration, risk management, technology standards, security architecture, business capability modeling, and translating business needs into technology solutions is required.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required.
  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Salesforce Certified Application Architect, or Salesforce Certified System Architect certification is preferred.
  • Experience with managed packages such as Gong, DocuSign CLM, Kantata, Gainsight, Showpad, or Qualtrics is a plus.
  • Knowledge of generative AI model capabilities and generative AI code assistants such as GitHub Copilot is an asset.
