Responsibilities
- Lead the development and governance of reusable semantic data models and reporting metrics.
- Architect scalable data transformations on Snowflake using SQL and dbt.
- Manage and enhance Airflow-based pipeline orchestration for timely and reliable data delivery.
- Collaborate with Product, Finance, Marketing, and Technology stakeholders to translate requirements into data models.
- Define best practices for version control, testing, CI/CD, data quality, documentation, and observability.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data or analytics engineering, including 2+ years leading or mentoring engineers.
- Deep expertise in SQL, cloud data warehouses, preferably Snowflake, and cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Proven experience with dbt for data modeling and transformation.
- Hands-on experience with Airflow or similar orchestration tools such as Prefect or Luigi.
- Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, ELT best practices, and data governance principles.
- Ability to balance hands-on development with leadership and stakeholder management.
- Clear communication skills for explaining technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
