Responsibilities
- Develop software emulators for lunar assets.
- Perform software integration, testing, and verification.
- Integrate hardware components as needed.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and contractors across multiple NASA programs and projects.
- Ensure adherence to Johnson Space Center standard software process practices.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in aerospace, electrical, software, computer, or systems engineering, computer science, or a related discipline is required.
- At least three years of software development experience with safety-critical software is required.
- Strong C programming skills are required.
- Experience with software and hardware integration for safety-critical software is required.
- Desired qualifications include a relevant master’s degree, avionics integration and troubleshooting, NASA’s Core Flight Software framework, embedded software for real-time operating systems, VxWorks, human-rated space vehicles, spacecraft communication protocols, automated testing, verification testing, GitLab, Git, and Jira.
- Strong communication, prioritization, teamwork, flexibility, and technical problem-solving skills are required.
