Responsibilities
- Contribute to formalizing mission and function descriptions and to architectural and algorithm design.
- Document test procedures, automation scripts, and test software code.
- Perform engineering testing and unit testing.
- Diagnose software issues and complete assignments within small- to medium-scale software applications.
- Identify opportunities and suggest improvements while working effectively with the team and independently.
Requirements
- Be a university student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Have entry-level analysis skills and the ability to diagnose issues.
- Be able to handle assignments involving small- to medium-scale software applications.
- Understand software development processes, test automation, unit testing, and CI/CD.
- Be familiar with C, C++, Python, and software development environments including Microsoft Visual Studio and desktop simulators.
- Have practical experience with Microsoft Office Suite, source control, IDEs, and requirements management tools.
- Be available to work 40 hours per week for the full internship duration.
- Preferred: be a co-op student available for an 8- or 12-month term with at least one quarter or semester of coursework remaining afterward.
- Previous co-op or internship experience is a plus.
