Base Salary
$102k - $166k/yr
Responsibilities
- Influence language design, IR architecture, and API reviews from a developer-experience perspective.
- Prototype error messages, visualizations, and workflow concepts to evaluate API decisions.
- Help define how errors are represented, surfaced, and attributed across compiler passes.
- Build circuit diagrams, error syndrome plots, and result-analysis tooling.
- Improve the workflow from Bloqade programs through emulation output to hardware jobs, including CLI and actionable feedback.
- Help promote internal examples into standard-library primitives and implement the initial primitives.
Requirements
- Experience building developer-facing tooling such as compiler frontends, LSP servers, linters, SDK APIs, or notebook tooling.
- Ability to read and write Rust and Python, including work with Kirin, the execution layer, and user-facing SDKs.
- Strong interest in designing useful error messages and influencing platform or language design.
- Comfort prototyping against unstable APIs and using feedback to inform design.
- Willingness to grow into compiler engineering and work with an SSA-based compiler stack.
- Preferred qualifications include technical visualization experience, familiarity with Python packaging and the scientific Python ecosystem, prior open-source work, and exposure to DSL design or compiler ergonomics.
