
[BD] Lead Front-end Developer
Bosch GlobalResponsibilities
- Define scalable front-end architecture using React, TypeScript, state management patterns, API contracts, caching, and streaming strategies.
- Own and scale the Bosch Digital Design System, component library, design tokens, theming, and adoption across product modules and regions.
- Design and implement workflow builders, real-time dashboards, integration wizards, and other complex enterprise interfaces.
- Ensure accessibility, internationalization, performance, SEO, and usability across varying network conditions and regional standards.
- Establish testing strategies, CI/CD quality gates, bundle analysis, static checks, and design-system governance.
- Partner with UX/UI designers and backend teams to align designs, technical feasibility, and robust API contracts.
- Mentor engineers, lead code reviews, establish engineering standards and playbooks, and support hiring and onboarding.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of professional front-end experience, including 3+ years leading teams or major initiatives on large-scale web applications.
- Expertise in modern JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Sass or CSS Modules, and modern layout techniques.
- Extensive experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js and state management libraries such as Redux or MobX; React component and hooks experience is required.
- Experience adopting design systems across at least two product modules with documented components and usage guidelines.
- Proficiency with Git-based workflows and CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Strong background in automated testing with Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Deep understanding of WCAG, SEO, front-end security risks, XSS, CSP, and secure handling of untrusted content.
- Experience delivering localized software in multiple languages, including at least one right-to-left locale.
- Experience delivering software for global environments with varied cultural contexts, regions, and internet speeds.
- Experience with workflow tools for IT operations, project management, or SaaS automation is preferred.
- Experience with Style Dictionary, Storybook, Chromatic, Sentry, Datadog, feature flagging, A/B testing, and Core Web Vitals improvements is preferred.
