Responsibilities
- Design and implement core software architecture and platform capabilities from prototype through operational applications.
- Develop custom software components and integrate open-source code to solve complex problems using cloud and big-data technologies.
- Define, build, and manage virtual cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes, containers, operating systems, and automation tooling.
- Enhance, optimize, and improve the robustness of existing codebases and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Requirements
- 5+ years of platform engineering or software development experience with a related bachelor's degree, or 3 years of relevant experience with a related master's degree, or 9 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with Python or Go, Linux systems, shell scripting, AWS, Kubernetes, and container build tooling such as Docker or Podman.
- Experience with operating-system deployment and orchestration tools such as kickstart, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Experience with Kubernetes automation tools such as Helm, Kustomize, or Flux CD.
- U.S. citizenship is required; a current U.S. government security clearance is not required on day one but will be processed, and current Secret or TS clearance may be considered.
- Preferred qualifications include container and operating-system hardening, CI/CD automation, GitLab-CI, Travis-CI, Jenkins, software development tool suites, big-data platforms, and relevant DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certifications.
- Strong systems integration, problem-solving, communication, autonomy, and adaptability are required.
