Base Salary
$85k - $121k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research, specify, design, code, debug, and test firmware for new products.
- Repair and enhance existing products based on customer feedback and other issues.
- Create tools for testing, debugging, programming, and related engineering activities.
- Lead component and solution design, development, documentation, and validation.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary architecture teams on hardware and software components for Smart Grid solutions.
- Participate in recruiting, developing, and mentoring junior engineers.
- Lead functional-area continuous improvement and innovative technology and solution development or validation initiatives.
- Own product safety and sign off on project schedules, cost estimates, product cost targets, and technical designs.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Project Management, R&D teams, SMEs, and business partners.
- Travel internationally as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 6–10 years of experience in electronics design and development.
- Experience designing full-lifecycle electronics systems and developing products for high-volume manufacture.
- Experience with customer interaction, flow measurement, and team-based project delivery.
- Deep knowledge of AMI and Smart Grid systems and solutions.
- Advanced design, development, or validation skills in the relevant functional area.
- Proficiency with development processes, tools, frameworks, and relevant development or validation methodologies.
- Experience in a multinational or multicultural environment.
- Experience with gas metering or the gas utility industry is highly preferred.
- Strong technical, communication, creative problem-solving, data interpretation, project execution, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
