Responsibilities

  • Design and implement physics-informed machine learning models for sensor simulation.
  • Develop and optimize physics-based and data-driven simulation workflows for ToF, RGB-D, LiDAR, and IMU sensors.
  • Integrate simulation outputs and PIML models into real-world robotic systems and simulation platforms.
  • Apply noise modeling, domain randomization, and physics-based constraints to reduce the simulation-to-reality gap.
  • Generate synthetic data and validate simulation models against real-world data.
  • Collaborate with hardware, AI, and simulation engineers on robotics simulation and edge AI systems.
  • Track advances in PIML, sensor simulation, and robotics and contribute innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Physics, Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in simulation, machine learning, or robotics, including hands-on physics-based or physics-informed modeling.
  • Experience developing and deploying physics-informed machine learning models for sensor simulation or related applications.
  • Proficiency in Python and C++.
  • Experience with advanced machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow and scientific computing libraries.
  • Understanding of sensor physics, signal processing, and simulation-to-reality transfer challenges.
  • Preferred experience includes open-source PIML or simulation contributions, sensor hardware design and calibration, relevant publications or projects, NVIDIA Isaac Sim or other robotics simulation platforms, and simulation-driven workflows for AI training, system validation, or perception testing.
