Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full-stack features using React, Java, and Spring Boot microservices.
- Maintain C#/.NET applications and MS SQL databases while assisting with migration efforts to Java, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL.
- Write and maintain PostgreSQL queries and assist with database schema work for performance and data integrity.
- Create and maintain RESTful APIs integrated with React-based frontends and aligned with data governance policies.
- Implement enhancements, write maintainable code, troubleshoot frontend and backend issues, and resolve technical problems.
- Use AI tools for code generation, documentation, code reviews, testing, and technical troubleshooting.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
- Write and maintain unit tests and stay current with relevant technologies and AI/LLM capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of professional software development experience or equivalent experience.
- Foundational knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with React, JavaScript (ES6+), and/or TypeScript.
- Experience with SQL and relational database concepts; PostgreSQL exposure is a plus.
- Understanding of web application and API security principles.
- Experience with Git and familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and collaboration abilities.
- Comfort using AI throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Preferred qualifications include CI/CD pipeline experience, Docker and microservices knowledge, automated testing experience, responsive design and accessibility knowledge, performance optimization knowledge, and effective AI prompting skills.
