Software Engineer (Unity)

Responsibilities
- Plan, build, test, and field complex functionality across the software development lifecycle.
- Write software that expands product capabilities on edge-deployed devices.
- Integrate Unity-based software with cutting-edge hardware and external systems.
- Make architectural decisions that support product and team growth.
- Improve code quality, testing, and tooling across the team.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Development, end-users, and internal and external engineering teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience working with a variety of programming languages.
- Proven professional experience building and shipping projects in Unity and C#.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
- Ability to independently solve ambiguous problems and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Must be clearance eligible.
- Preferred experience delivering results in startup or high-growth environments.
- Preferred experience integrating Unity applications with drones, robotics, sensors, wearables, or other edge devices.
- Preferred familiarity with real-time data streaming, message passing, or protocols such as gRPC, Protobuf, MQTT, WebSockets, or ROS.
- Preferred experience designing and consuming APIs and SDKs across engineering teams.
- Preferred Android development experience below the application layer.
- Preferred understanding of software interactions with hardware, including device drivers, firmware interfaces, and application layers.
- Preferred professional experience with version control, CI/CD systems, and automated testing frameworks.
