Responsibilities
- Design and implement API and integration solutions from strategy and API design through operation in modern cloud environments.
- Assess existing integration landscapes and develop scalable, secure API and cloud architectures aligned with customer business requirements.
- Advise customers on API management platforms, including governance, security, lifecycle management, monetization, and API-as-a-Product practices.
- Own responsibilities across the project lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture, solution design, and implementation in agile interdisciplinary teams.
- Collaborate with development, architecture, cloud, and security teams and enable customers and colleagues to build sustainable API ecosystems.
- Identify new API management, cloud, eventing, and AI topics and turn them into concrete consulting offerings and solutions.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in API and integration environments, ideally as a consultant, architect, or engineer, based on IT-related vocational training or studies.
- Deep experience with at least one API management platform such as Kong, Apigee, Azure API Management, Axway, or WSO2, plus knowledge of relevant patterns, standards, and best practices.
- Knowledge of modern cloud and container architectures, ideally using Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure, and experience with CI/CD and DevOps approaches.
- Ability to understand business requirements quickly and translate them into robust technical concepts while taking ownership and contributing proactively.
- Strong customer consulting and communication skills, including explaining complex technical topics clearly and guiding teams through decisions.
- Initial experience applying AI in integration or API contexts, such as automating interface design, documentation, or testing.
- Very good German and good English communication skills.
