Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, test, and architect software solutions for embedded controls systems and vehicle ecosystem functions.
  • Implement physics and controls requirements for mechatronic controls, diagnostics strategies, controller communication, and vehicle functions.
  • Develop software in Android, QNX, and Linux environments using embedded development frameworks.
  • Document design requirements and link them to test cases demonstrating software functionality.
  • Use automated test tools in build environments, benches, and vehicles to verify controller-, system-, and vehicle-level functionality.
  • Deliver software as part of an Agile Scrum team, contribute to planning, share learnings, and help train others.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Graduating between December 2026 and June 2027.
  • Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
  • Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, in southeast Michigan.
  • Preferred experience with Python, Rust, ETAS, INCA, MDA, JIRA, Git, bootloaders, embedded operating systems, controller communications, diagnostics, AUTOSAR, CAN, LIN, ARXML, or Ethernet.
  • Preferred knowledge of software architecture principles and automotive-related experience such as Formula SAE or EcoCAR.
  • Must not require GM immigration-related sponsorship now or in the future.
