Base Salary
$159k - $229k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI-driven backend and data systems.
- Own R&D projects end to end from concept and prototyping through deployment and delivery.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Serve as CISO by developing, implementing, and enforcing information security policies and procedures.
- Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and protect information assets.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software development experience, including 2+ years in a lead or tech-lead role.
- Strong backend expertise with Java, C++, Scala, and Python, plus cloud infrastructure and data frameworks such as Spark.
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, microservices, distributed systems, and SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience architecting and deploying production-grade systems and mentoring engineers.
- Experience with security best practices such as OWASP, secure coding, and API security is preferred.
- Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, and EO 14117 is preferred.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code is preferred.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
