Responsibilities
- Analyze real-world data related to missile defense and space-domain awareness.
- Develop and complete software features and stories mapped to program objectives as part of an Agile Scrum team.
- Develop new algorithms and tools for effective data utilization.
- Update existing algorithms and tools based on new data.
- Contribute to technical reviews and briefing packages.
- Produce authoritative analysis reports covering performance, reliability, and functional behavior of large-scale real-time systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field plus five years of experience; or a related master’s degree plus three years of relevant experience; or nine years of relevant experience in place of a degree.
- Current, active, in-scope Government-issued Top Secret clearance at application, with eligibility to be read into SCI clearance.
- Experience with MATLAB or similar languages such as Python, including NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib.
- Experience in systems analysis, software verification, or model-based analysis of complex defense-grade command-and-control, sensor, or weapon systems.
- Knowledge of systems and software engineering processes, principles, and lifecycles.
- Experience with Linux command line, Bash scripting, GitLab, and Jenkins.
- Preferred experience includes missile defense battle management architectures, IR/RF sensor tracking, intercept modeling, space-domain awareness, and MDS elements such as C2BMC, AN/TPY-2, LRDR, BOA, SBIRS, Aegis BMD, or PATRIOT.
- Preferred qualifications include strong mathematical knowledge, Agile Scrum experience, JIRA and Confluence experience, and experience building reusable analysis libraries, parsers, and data ingestion pipelines with Python, MATLAB, or Java.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
