Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert across business and technical domains.
- Lead planning, execution, and release of complex technical projects across multiple teams.
- Own medium to large features or infrastructure projects from technical design through completion.
- Build reliable, maintainable software, applications, infrastructure, and interfaces.
- Collaborate with partners, product managers, and designers to solve challenging problems.
- Lead and mentor engineers and engineering teams while setting team direction and improving engineering practices.
- Ensure delivery of large or complex technology capabilities across one or more domains.
- Identify and mitigate risks to cross-team project delivery.
- Influence technical and product roadmap prioritization and process improvements.
- Reduce failure domains, build software that minimizes maintenance and failure impact, and guide development of Service-Level Objectives.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading cross-pod or cross-company deliverables.
- 5+ years of experience leading technical contributions and improving the quality of team output.
- 5+ years of practical application of computer science concepts within a team.
- 5+ years of experience setting and enforcing standards for stable, correct, and maintainable code.
- 5+ years of experience leading technical teams, including mentoring and training more junior engineers.
Benefits
- Hybrid schedule in the Tempe, AZ office with three days of in-office work per week; Thursdays are required and the other two office days are flexible.
- Base pay of $192,000–$252,000 per year, plus company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.
