Responsibilities
- Partner with product, executive leadership, design, sales, and marketing to build simple, effective solutions.
- Champion AI development practices and mentor the engineering organization on improving velocity and code quality.
- Build and run robust, highly secure systems at scale.
- Help establish unified technical direction and a culture of engineering excellence and speed.
- Review pull requests and design future system architecture, including the evolution of legacy monolithic architecture toward a modern stack.
Requirements
- Mastery of large-scale services using Ruby, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and PHP.
- Deep knowledge of distributed systems and relational databases, including MySQL and Postgres.
- Deep knowledge of AWS infrastructure, including Aurora, RDS, and SQS.
- Uses AI tools such as Cursor and Claude Code as a primary partner throughout the development lifecycle.
- Able to represent engineering in high-stakes discussions with non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
