Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Act as the SDA Chief Software Integration Engineer and work with government program managers, FFRDC, SETA, and contractor personnel.
- Lead modernization of legacy systems and acquisition of new software capabilities across the SDA enterprise.
- Understand existing software and sensor capabilities, requirements, and architectures to guide acquisition strategy.
- Prioritize and cost solutions across programs and classification levels in collaboration with government stakeholders.
- Resolve technical, political, vendor lock-in, and stakeholder conflicts to improve SDA capability and resiliency.
- Increase machine-to-machine interfaces and influence stakeholders to adopt proposed capabilities.
- Lead teams conducting risk-reduction research and development.
- Ensure the long-term sustainment and viability of proposed implementations.
- Work directly with contractors to implement and test complex designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent.
- At least 15 years of applicable experience in software integration, software acquisition, agile, network engineering, and/or cloud technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with government stakeholders with differing interests and develop adoptable solutions.
- Experience delivering software solutions to the enterprise.
- Ability to develop a hands-on understanding of software and sensor capabilities and architectures.
- Experience influencing stakeholders and addressing complex engineering challenges with technical and political dimensions.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Active/current Top Secret/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain SAP clearances.
- Willingness to travel domestically approximately 20% of the time.
- Preferred qualifications include active SAP clearance, detailed knowledge of enterprise SDA sensors and systems, understanding of modern software tool chains, and experience defining strategic technical vision.
