Senior Software Engineer, Air Defense

Responsibilities
- Own software solutions deployed to customers.
- Write code to improve products and scale mission capabilities to additional customers.
- Collaborate across teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality.
- Create and analyze metrics used for debugging and monitoring.
- Triage issues, determine root causes, and coordinate next steps.
- Partner with end-users to translate needs into features while balancing user experience and engineering constraints.
- Travel up to 30% to build, test, and deploy capabilities in operational environments.
Requirements
- Have a strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
- Have 6+ years of experience working with programming languages such as Python, C++, Rust, Go, and JavaScript.
- Have experience building software involving significant data processing and analysis.
- Be able to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established codebases.
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include Physics, Mathematics, or Motion Planning experience; modeling and simulation; multi-agent autonomous systems; behavior trees; flight systems; safety-critical functionality; distributed communication networks; message standards; and military systems and tactics.
