Base Salary
$144k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build features for the AWS Neuron and Neuron Kernel Interface compilers across frontend, intermediate representations, optimization, and code generation.
- Own compiler features from design through production, including implementation, testing on hardware and simulation, and customer support.
- Work with PyTorch, JAX, and internal ML teams to understand workloads and resolve performance or compiler issues.
- Provide compiler and programmability feedback to hardware teams for upcoming chips.
- Review code and designs and mentor newer engineers.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- A background in machine learning, AI accelerators, or kernel performance is helpful but not required.
