Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure native iOS applications and features using Swift.
- Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions across the iOS codebase.
- Maintain and modernize Objective-C components.
- Integrate mobile applications with backend services, APIs, authentication flows, and secure data storage.
- Optimize performance, responsiveness, memory usage, and battery efficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex application issues using logs, profiling tools, and runtime diagnostics.
- Participate in code reviews and provide technical feedback to engineers.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and backend engineering teams to deliver features.
- Strengthen automated testing, build reliability, and release quality.
- Support App Store releases, beta testing, and validation of new iOS capabilities.
- Maintain technical documentation and evaluate emerging iOS technologies and frameworks.
- Use AI-assisted tools to improve coding, debugging, research, testing, and documentation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional iOS software development experience.
- Strong production Swift development experience and working knowledge of Objective-C.
- Experience designing and shipping large or complex iOS applications to the Apple App Store.
- Experience with AI in iOS development, including prompting and AI-assisted troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of iOS architecture, lifecycle, concurrency, state management, performance, memory management, debugging, and profiling.
- Experience integrating mobile applications with backend APIs and distributed services.
- Proficiency with Xcode and Apple development, debugging, and diagnostic tools.
- Experience with automated build and CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of Git-based workflows, code review, issue tracking, and maintainable automated mobile tests.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, because of involvement in GovCloud environments.
- Preferred qualifications include cybersecurity or identity application experience, encryption and cryptographic API experience, Keychain Services, Secure Enclave, biometrics, passkeys, Swift Concurrency, async/await, SwiftUI, UIKit, beta iOS APIs, accessibility, performance, and reliability practices.
