Responsibilities
- Build and ship a greenfield frontend application using TypeScript, React, TanStack, and Vite.
- Shape frontend architecture with significant ownership from the beginning of the project.
- Implement polished Figma designs using design tokens and an internal UI component system.
- Build interfaces that handle real-time data through WebSockets, SSE, and streaming updates.
- Design and maintain long-lived applications with scalable state management, data-fetching patterns, error handling, and observability.
- Profile and improve slow pages using knowledge of browser internals, web protocols, and performance.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams, including shaping API contracts and debugging across the stack.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex in day-to-day development.
- Document technical decisions and communicate effectively with colleagues.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience.
- Deep proficiency with TypeScript and React, including modern patterns such as hooks and suspense.
- Experience working with real-time data, including WebSockets, SSE, and streaming updates.
- Ability to work from Figma designs and implement design tokens.
- Strong understanding of browser internals, web protocols, and frontend performance profiling.
- Experience designing and shipping long-lived applications with scalable state management, data-fetching patterns, error handling, and observability.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Fluency with modern AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience with TanStack Query, Router, Table, or comparable libraries is preferred.
- Experience building data-dense dashboards, admin tools, or monitoring and observability interfaces is preferred.
- Background in design systems, component libraries, or frontend architecture ownership is preferred.
- Comfort reading OpenAPI specifications and working closely with backend teams is preferred.
