Base Salary
$147k - $183k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain systems in a distributed microservices architecture for rate visibility and autonomous booking.
- Own features end to end, including database schema design, backend services and APIs, and React-based frontend applications.
- Integrate AI models and automated workflows into pricing and booking experiences.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, share knowledge, and mentor peer engineers.
- Build highly available, secure, and scalable systems and support frequent production releases.
- Use metrics, monitoring, and post-mortem learnings to maintain service quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience shipping production-grade applications.
- Full-stack capability across databases, backend services using Java or Ruby, and React frontend frameworks.
- Proficiency with Java, Ruby, or TypeScript.
- At least 2 years of design and architecture knowledge and familiarity with object-oriented analysis and design patterns.
- Experience deploying, monitoring, and maintaining production services on AWS.
- Experience or interest in AI APIs and software using machine learning models is required.
- Preferred experience includes Spring Boot, Ruby on Rails, React, AWS, fintech, pricing engines, booking systems, logistics, supply chain, or freight technology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical ideas to business stakeholders and product managers.
