Base Salary
$120k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define scalable technical frameworks, governance standards, architectural patterns, and integration standards for AI, ML, data, feature, and retrieval systems.
- Translate business concepts, domain definitions, and complex technical concepts into architectural decisions and implementation guidance.
- Design and personally build end-to-end pipelines from ingestion through retrieval and grounding logic.
- Write orchestration code for AI workflows, including tool integration, state management, and failure handling.
- Define patterns for feature stores, model inputs and outputs, and AI service integration with enterprise data assets.
- Implement embedding, metadata-tagging, schema-versioning, data-quality, and lineage-capture code.
- Build data-quality and AI guardrails and enforce governance through code.
- Partner with Product, Technology, Research & Data Science, and Data Platform teams.
- Explain technical trade-offs to engineers and executive stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of hands-on software or ML engineering experience.
- Familiarity with Databricks and MLflow.
- Strong coding ability in a modern data and machine learning stack.
- Experience writing feature pipelines and model-serving or integration code.
- Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into working prototypes quickly.
- Experience implementing schema versioning, data-quality checks, and lineage capture as code.
- Comfort with version control, code review, CI/CD, and testing practices for data and ML pipelines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical trade-offs to technical and executive audiences.
- Preferred: experience with AI-assisted development processes.
- Preferred: direct implementation experience building or integrating MCP servers, MCP clients, or other agent-to-tool protocols.
- Preferred: experience writing semantic-layer or metadata code consumed by other pipelines.
- Preferred: background building forecasting, optimization, or graph-analytics systems.

- Base salary range of $120K-$150K per year.
