Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services, batch processes, and APIs while contributing to UI components as needed.
- Own end-to-end delivery across implementation, testing, deployment, observability, and reliability.
- Write clean, well-tested code, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Improve system performance, security, and resiliency through engineering best practices and automation.
- Contribute to a learning and inclusive team culture aligned with BNY’s principles and pillars.
Requirements
- Demonstrated hands-on AI development using modern tools and IDEs such as Windsurf.
- Solid understanding of programming concepts and microservices.
- Proficiency in Java with Spring.
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing using JUnit or Spock, and Docker containers.
- Familiarity with microservices, observability and telemetry tools such as Splunk and AppDynamics, and cloud deployments.
- Curiosity about the business domain and ability to translate product strategy into technical solutions.
- Working knowledge of Groovy with Spock is preferred.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript and Angular 15+ is preferred.
