Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 first-line support for trading, testing, and research environments.
- Monitor systems proactively and automate observability, logging, metrics, tracing, and anomaly detection around application SLAs.
- Maintain the test trading environment and automate routine interventions to keep the platform stable.
- Standardize CI/CD and operational processes, improve deployment scripts, and strengthen release verification.
- Perform stress tests and verify SLAs under load with application and DevOps engineers.
- Collaborate with traders, engineers, system administrators, data centers, networking teams, and shared services.
- Own incident response and automate recurring operational work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical background.
- At least 3 years of hands-on software development or SRE experience.
- Demonstrated experience with observability tools, including logging, metrics, and tracing.
- Hands-on development experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.
- Knowledge of network communications, the Linux TCP/IP stack, multicast networking, and network protocol interactions.
- Diagnostic capabilities spanning the application layer, network, and low-level hardware.
- Experience with network capture and time synchronization.
- An automation-first problem-solving approach and strong ownership, accountability, reliability, and follow-through.
- Positive AI mentality and experience using AI agents to accelerate SRE tasks.
