Responsibilities
- Design, enhance, develop, maintain, and extend enterprise single- and multi-system applications.
- Develop and integrate enterprise software with Oracle R12 eBusiness Suite, Oracle EBS, and ASCP.
- Use Java, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, BI Publisher, Oracle Workflow, and Oracle public APIs in application development.
- Provide solutions for complex software problems and perform technical root-cause analysis with corrective actions.
- Plan small- and medium-sized projects or tasks and assess the feasibility of goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement unit and system testing processes with Garmin IT Analysts.
- Review complex technical work for soundness, adequacy, and accuracy.
- Mentor less experienced IT Software Engineers.
- Document work and participate in feature analysis, project definition, and system tradeoff activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field and at least two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience successfully implementing technology solutions and designing, enhancing, and developing single- and multi-system applications.
- Programming experience with Java, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, BI Publisher, Oracle Workflow, and Oracle public APIs.
- Ability to learn and apply secure coding practices.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Applicants must be willing to work Saturday–Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- A cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 is generally required; a GPA of at least 3.5 and prior team-environment experience are desired.
