Responsibilities
- Build, extend, and maintain the federated Platform API, SDKs, MCP servers, API clients, gateway services, and related applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable services using C#, Python, Golang, and related technologies.
- Integrate web services with Altium and third-party systems and collaborate with backend, frontend, data platform, and DevOps engineers on deployment and integration.
- Support customer adoption through APIs, SDKs, tools, documentation, processes, and partnership activities.
- Handle relevant customer enquiries, enhancements, and bug reports.
- Participate in code reviews, coding standards, best-practice development, team ceremonies, and cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a software development technical role.
- Fluency in at least one common programming language, with C# preferred and Python, Golang, JavaScript, and TypeScript also listed.
- Understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns for web services and platforms.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, take ownership, and build rapport with globally distributed stakeholders.
- Experience with API, application, or SDK development and using APIs to solve customer business problems is advantageous.
- Experience writing user-facing API and SDK documentation with code samples is advantageous.
- Experience developing SaaS products, understanding cloud and on-premises solutions, and designing relational databases is advantageous.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, Kubernetes, GraphQL, and CI/CD is a plus.
- EDA or PCB design tools, Altium products, electronics-industry experience, and UI or UX experience are advantageous.
- A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in information technology, engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
