Software Engineer III - Alternative Asset Management Technology

- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, scalable software solutions across multiple technical areas.
- Build and integrate backend solutions using Spring frameworks and develop responsive user interfaces with React.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for retrieval, manipulation, and analysis across relational database systems.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts and ensure software implementations meet design constraints.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets, create visualizations and reporting, and use findings to improve applications and system architecture.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to streamline and enhance investment workflows.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, refactoring, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and apply software development lifecycle, resiliency, security, and CI/CD practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using Java, React, and SQL.
- Proficiency writing and optimizing SQL queries across relational database systems.
- Experience building interactive and responsive web interfaces with React.
- Proven experience building and integrating robust backend solutions using Spring frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Overall knowledge of the software development lifecycle and solid understanding of CI/CD, application resiliency, security, and agile methodologies.
- Exposure to AWS cloud technologies is preferred.
