Responsibilities
- Build and maintain high-performance, scalable, and responsive web applications and services.
- Translate business logic and business requirements into robust, maintainable production code.
- Develop frontend and backend solutions using modern frameworks, UI component libraries, and REST API integrations.
- Write unit and integration tests to support high-quality, production-ready software.
- Collaborate with consulting teams, stakeholders, clients, and BCG product teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Provide technical guidance, solve complex software problems, and contribute to reusable intellectual property and delivery assets.
- Support assignments ranging from proofs of concept and minimum viable products to long-term enterprise software engagements.
- Ensure appropriate technical sign-off, repository practices, and sanitization of confidential client content.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering/technology, or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of end-to-end web application or tool development experience in a commercial environment.
- Strong experience with Node.js, Python, Flask, Django, React, Angular 2+, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, PostgreSQL, responsive UI principles, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and unit testing.
- Experience with Mocha, Jest, Jasmine, Bootstrap, Material UI, Ant Design, UI component libraries, and REST APIs.
- Working knowledge of Unix command-line tools, Git repositories, CI/CD and DevOps tools, cloud infrastructure, AWS, Azure, GCP, and TypeScript.
- Excellent communication, proactive problem-solving, independent execution, and technical solutioning skills.
- Preferred familiarity with microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, C#/.NET, MongoDB, React Native, Ionic, HighCharts, D3.js, Recharts, and basic wireframing.
- Additional consideration may be given for open-source contributions, technical blogs, and technical forum participation.
