Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain core Python modules for internal engineers.
- Drive platform certification, automated monthly releases, and site-wide upgrades.
- Provide developer support by debugging issues and triaging requests in Slack.
- Convert recurring support issues into platform capabilities, automation, tests, or documentation.
- Maintain Ubuntu and Python base images, optimize image registries, and embed tracing, metrics, and logging.
- Integrate TrustFabric, OAuth, and secrets management into the framework layer.
- Build AI-driven developer productivity tools and knowledge graphs.
- Own platform testing, releases, operations, support, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 3+ years of backend or platform software engineering experience.
- Deep familiarity with Python 3.10+, type hints, asynchronous programming, FastAPI, and Flask.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Tekton, and Jenkins pipelines.
- Familiarity with Poetry, UV, packaging, REST, and OpenAPI.
- Ability to own software throughout its lifecycle, including testing, shipping, operating, and supporting users.
- Strong written communication and the ability to collaborate across time zones.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Grafana/Sherlock is preferred.
- Background in internal developer platforms is preferred.
