Responsibilities
- Establish and lead a security champions program across development squads.
- Define application security requirements, abuse cases, and SDLC security improvements with product and engineering teams.
- Guide developers on threat modeling, application security concerns, secure design, and code reviews.
- Lead penetration-testing activities and hacking exercises for core applications.
- Build and automate application security tools and establish SAST, IAST, and DAST in development pipelines.
- Create security tests, support security unit testing, integrate security outputs into deployment processes, and analyze logs for issues.
- Research new technologies, prototype solutions, and optimize infrastructure deployment through automation.
- Provide responsive support, participate in technical discussions, and drive continual team improvement.
Requirements
- Passion for and commitment to application security.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Software engineering background with a security focus is desirable.
- Experience with the OWASP ASVS framework is desirable.
- Experience in Agile delivery environments is desirable.
- Greenfield experience establishing security technologies from scratch is desirable.
- Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and engage with the security community.
- Willingness to address a broad range of security issues and keep current with security developments.
