Base Salary
$150k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and optimize authentication and authorization standards and protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SCIM, and SAML.
- Develop secure, reliable, and scalable IAM platform components.
- Research and implement role engineering, session management, and standardized formats for platform AuthN and AuthZ needs.
- Develop APIs and products in collaboration with Product Managers, Designers, Support, Product, Quality, Security, and Platform Engineers.
- Help architect IAM solutions and facilitate cross-squad knowledge sharing on best practices.
- Design and build internal tooling to support product development and maintenance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building complex backend or distributed systems at scale.
- Proficiency with JavaScript, Node.js, React.js, and web fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of database fundamentals, including query optimization, schema design, indexing, caching, and performance.
- Proven record of building products from scratch.
- Product-oriented mindset and empathy for users.
- Understanding of authentication products, protocols, and methods such as OAuth, SAML, and OIDC is a bonus.
