Responsibilities
- Build and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Establish AWS foundations including multi-account setups, AWS Organizations, guardrails, governance, and landing zones.
- Apply the AWS Well-Architected Framework and cloud best practices.
- Analyze infrastructure and recommend improvements in security, scalability, resilience, performance, cost, and automation.
- Embed security throughout the delivery lifecycle through automated security checks, least-privilege IAM, secrets management, and continuous compliance.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for reliable and automated delivery.
- Support lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and modernization cloud migrations.
- Manage Terraform state, modules, policy-as-code, and infrastructure-as-code governance workflows.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve cloud environments.
- Collaborate with development, security, and platform teams to promote engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 5–6+ years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud, or platform engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience primarily focused on AWS and its common compute, networking, IAM, storage, monitoring, and database services.
- Experience applying the AWS Well-Architected Framework and AWS best practices.
- Experience building AWS foundations and working with AWS Organizations, multi-account environments, guardrails, and governance.
- Proven infrastructure-as-code experience, with Terraform as a core requirement.
- Hands-on cloud migration experience and the ability to analyze environments and recommend practical improvements.
- Strong CI/CD and automation fundamentals, along with technical, analytical, communication, and continuous-learning skills.
- Cross-cloud experience with Azure and/or GCP is preferred.
- AWS DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Specialty certification is preferred.
- Experience with Spacelift or similar infrastructure-as-code orchestration and management platforms is preferred.
- Experience with policy-as-code, security scanning, compliance tooling, Docker, and Kubernetes/EKS is preferred.
