Responsibilities

Modify existing software for new and existing applications.
Design embedded software structures, wireless data interfaces, and control algorithms for company products and systems.
Work with customers to meet product specifications and engineering requirements.
Prepare proposals for customer-specific products and applications.
Provide technical support and resolve internal and external customer inquiries.
Travel to customer sites for new-product start-up when required.
Evaluate competitor products and identify applicable technological advantages.
Develop engineering manuals, standards, schematics, logic diagrams, component information, and installation instructions.
Participate in cross-functional efforts to improve processes, productivity, quality, and cost effectiveness.
Maintain required technical documentation, records, and departmental compliance standards.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or a combination of education and experience.
Two years of experience with embedded software programming.
Preferred experience with industrial controls and/or material-handling products, simulation, and systems.
Strong technical skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects concurrently.
Mathematical competency and computer proficiency with MS Office, engineering software, and other job-related software.
Ability to operate electronic testing devices and small hand and power tools.
