Base Salary
$148k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop automation for deployment, packaging, monitoring visibility, and cloud operations efficiency.
- Maintain and monitor microservices, servers, Docker containers, databases, and backend infrastructure in SaaS/IaaS environments.
- Measure and improve service availability, latency, performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Debug service bottlenecks and provide advanced Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for cloud data services.
- Respond to complex production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and resolve cross-platform issues involving operating systems, networking, and databases.
- Create runbooks and document system knowledge for operational access and support.
- Identify and resolve complex security issues and track issues through Atlassian and cloud service management tools.
- Collaborate with infrastructure engineers, developers, NetApp teams, and cloud service providers, while influencing architecture and leading scrum activities.
Requirements
- US citizenship is required due to the potential need for a security clearance.
- At least 5 years of experience in scripting and infrastructure automation.
- Experience with PowerShell, Python, Go, or Ruby for automation.
- Deep knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, serverless computing, and distributed systems design patterns.
- Knowledge of DevOps and SRE development methodologies.
- Proficiency with Linux/Unix and CoreOS.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Ability to lead a scrum team, influence stakeholders, maintain a product backlog, and manage sprints.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and work occasional odd hours.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a master's degree, or equivalent experience.
