Responsibilities
- Develop and test software using COBOL, VSAM, IBM tools, DB2, EZT, and JCL.
- Use programming languages, operating systems, and software to create and maintain applications.
- Work with relational databases to facilitate software programming.
- Analyze and solve problems related to the design, creation, and testing of programs.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, support personnel, and clients.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience in programming or testing, with the posting listing a three-to-nine-year experience range.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with appropriate programming languages, operating systems, software, and relational databases.
- Basic programming, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, and business software skills.
- Life insurance domain knowledge or LOMA 280 or 290 certification is advantageous.
