Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and support commerce platform features and experimentation for ecom.docusign.com and adjacent experiences.
- Design and build scalable, fault-tolerant, testable, and high-quality software with strong test coverage.
- Translate commerce and growth-team needs into end-to-end architecture and system designs.
- Lead architecture and systems design in partnership with cross-functional teams in the PLG organization.
- Mentor and support senior and lead engineers and architects.
- Represent the PLG engineering organization in stakeholder discussions.
- Identify and build proofs of concept for technical challenges and recommend scalable solutions.
- Present software architecture to executives.
- Drive software design, implementation, testing, and release as part of a cross-site development team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Informatics, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of software development experience in user-facing applications.
- Experience with C#, Go, Java, React, JavaScript, or other modern programming languages.
- Experience using coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
- Backend development experience.
- Experience building or consuming RESTful web services.
- Experience with distributed systems and large-scale cloud service design and operation.
- Experience across the software development lifecycle, including Git version control, build processes, testing, and code release.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, prioritize work, manage time independently, and move fluently across technology stacks.
- Interest in highly available sites and learning new software technologies.
