Base Salary
$153k - $259k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect ingestion, modeling, and synchronization of GitLab and third-party data into a near-real-time knowledge graph.
- Lead integrations with Jira, observability tools, Zendesk, and ServiceNow.
- Architect the Data Marketplace for customer access through Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery.
- Publish GitLab observability through OpenTelemetry and broker data-sharing APIs.
- Define operational readiness for systems across GitLab.com, Dedicated, and Self-Managed deployments.
- Translate ambiguous 0-to-1 problems into iterative roadmaps with Product, Design, and engineering partners.
- Resolve dependencies across graph backend, AI Platform, and Infrastructure teams.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, pairing, and code review.
- Identify systemic bottlenecks and improve organizational and engineering execution velocity.
Requirements
- Proven Staff-level ability to own product or platform systems end to end across multiple engineering and product teams.
- Deep full-stack expertise with strong proficiency in Go, Ruby, and Node.
- Depth in at least one of analytics and metrics platforms, graph data systems, or CDC and warehouse integration.
- Hands-on experience building production AI-powered tool orchestration.
- Experience operating multi-tenant systems across SaaS and self-managed deployments.
- Ability to influence across teams, create clarity in ambiguous environments, make foundational design decisions, and drive delivery.
- Strong communication, alignment-building, documentation, and technical leadership skills.
- Experience mentoring engineers and creating leverage through system and process improvements.
