Base Salary
$142k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentorship, coaching, and engineering standards that increase team impact.
- Design and build architectures balancing simplicity, quality, scale, security, and operational requirements.
- Create reusable patterns, guardrails, and tooling while simplifying systems, workflows, and delivery processes.
- Apply engineering fundamentals across software design, data, testing, and distributed systems.
- Use AI-enabled tools across design, coding, testing, review, and documentation while maintaining human accountability for high-risk decisions and final quality.
- Build and operate secure, scalable, resilient, observable software with disciplined rollout and rollback practices.
- Ensure production systems meet required standards for resiliency, performance, scalability, and operability.
- Strengthen cross-functional execution and adapt quickly to new domains, technologies, and problem spaces.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree is a plus.
- At least 12 years of professional software development experience with demonstrated depth in full-stack engineering and system or application architecture.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and RESTful and streaming-based API design.
- Hands-on experience delivering cloud-native solutions, including microservices, containerization, and modern deployment patterns.
- Working knowledge of NoSQL and distributed data stores and their appropriate application at scale.
- Experience using GenAI or ML-driven services to improve developer productivity, system intelligence, or customer outcomes, with understanding of responsible use, scalability, and enterprise integration.
- Experience in securities, financial services, or modern engineering-first organizations is a plus.

- Base salary is expected to be $142,000–$250,000 per year, excluding potential bonuses, incentives, commissions, and benefits.
- Position is located in New York, NY and is at-will.
