Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, design, and development of Android framework components for automotive infotainment platforms.
- Guide infotainment application development across media, navigation, connectivity, HMI, and personalization.
- Collaborate with HMI, middleware, hardware, connectivity, UX, OEM, and Tier-1 teams on feature definition, integration, and validation.
- Ensure performance, stability, and compliance with Android Automotive standards.
- Drive debugging, performance tuning, and optimization of infotainment applications and framework services.
- Mentor team members and provide technical leadership in Android infotainment development.
- Work with cross-functional teams globally.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of professional experience is required; the additional information also states a minimum of 12 years in infotainment and telematics.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, electronics, or a related stream.
- Strong expertise in Android Framework internals, including system services, HALs, and AOSP customization.
- Hands-on Android infotainment application development experience with Java/Kotlin and the Android SDK/NDK.
- Programming experience with C/C++ native services, HAL integration, Python, and shell scripting for automation, builds, and debugging.
- Understanding of multimedia, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, connectivity stacks, CarPlay, and Android Auto.
- Knowledge of HMI frameworks, touch and voice UI, UX integration, IVI architecture, performance optimization, and automotive standards.
- Two to three years of experience in a lead or architect role.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
